Jacket tweaking

After the fitting I made the correct adjustment and added shoulder pads and ready for attaching lining I hering bone stitched the hem.

Jacket preparation

Before putting the jacket together I had to add canvas, pad stitch lapels and add tape.

Painting hooves

I used a stone effect spray paint on the toes and black acrylic paint with latex on the rest

Creating fur

I was set the challenge of creating a fur effect so I looked into Ostrich feathers,  fringing and raffia.  I found that raffia had a much visually stunning effect and was more affordable than ostrich feather fringe. After making my decision I then went on to dye 1kg of natural raffia

Hoove fitting

After making the hooves I wanted to check how they looked with the faun legs. I also wanted to fit the faun legs with the jersey over the wodding

Building hooves

With the help of Liz Johnson I atarted drafting hooves using card and once I wae satisfied with a shape I cut the patterns out in plastizote and started building them up and glued them to slip on black shoes.

Fitting the jacket toile.

Whilst I had the wodding pinned on I wanted to see how my jacket toile fitted.

Fitting the faun legs

Before I sewed down my wodding I wanted to figure out the correct position of the thigh, calve and butt pieces.

Shaping the butt

Now im happy with the calve shape I will move onto giving Mr Tumnus a big butt.
